I am offering Introduction to Pickleball clinics, between May and September 2024, for new players to have a pickleball experience in a small group setting of 3-4 players. You can also sign up for the introductory clinic if you are a beginner and need a refresher or reinforcement of the proper or best way to play pickleball to set you for future improvement. If you have your own group of 4 new people, you can request a clinic at a time that will work for your group. For any of these situations please email foxcitiespickleball@gmail.com with your request.
The fee for this 2 1/2 clinic is $20 per participant, prepaid. This will be refunded if you need to drop at least 48 hours before the clinic and a replacement is found. Dropping with late notice could mean the clinic will be cancelled for other participants.
In this clinic, players will learn the various strokes in pickleball and when to use them, while using correct footwork and safety. Also covered is proper position and scoring with a little strategy. Before attending this 2 1/2 hour, on-court clinic, it is required to view the classroom portion on your own.
The classroom portion consist of watching an online video. Both of these videos were created during the pandemic for players to view on their own. The first video is comprehensive covering many topics and originated in The Villages, FL . The second video is shorter and focuses more on the basics of pickleball with live demonstrations, created for the Duschutes Public Library in Bend, Oregon. Both videos are good and if you have the time, it would be suggested to watch both.
